  there's a thread on the tricks and tweaks for windows XP right... so i was wondering if someone could start one for Vista? like how to speed up the start up by editing the registry etc etc... was really helpful that time, but now i'm using Vista

  c:\>format c:
  
  Insert Windows XP SP2 (or Win2K SP4 if you're hardcore) CD.
  
  Reboot.
  
  Follow install instructions.
  
  Your system will now perform 30-40% faster with the same programs.
