swapped keys

  i don't know how it happened but my keys seemed to have swapped by itself. maybe i click something accidentally but really idk what happened. for eg, when i press the number 1, the number 2 comes out instead, and when i press 2, 1 comes out. yupp. it's all back to normal now, but since it's happened a few times alr, just wondering...

  no, definitely not virus or water, that i'm sure.
  
  it didn't only happen at my place. i rmbr that it happened once at a gaming centre too. so i had to screw my game and get another comp cos i didn't know what to do at that moment.
  
  i think i spammed the keys and accidentally clicked on something.

  Laptops have certain hot keys, which when pressed, will do it nicely for you.

  Then you probably triggered some shortcuts which swapped the keys. Sometimes reboot will work, other times, no as the changes are permanent. You need to hunt down the settings and change it back, which is tedious and painful.

  On laptops, there is this key called the Fn (Function) key. Press it together with some other letters/numbers will change the whole keyboard format. To undo it, press the Fn key + the same letter or number which triggered it.

  that's why there must be some sort of hotkey to do it. cos i was also in the middle of a game, there was no way i could go control panel to configure some settings.
  
  and the characters that came out were rubbish, for one of my case, not just mere swapping here and there. but so far restarting the comp solves it all.
