cos i read from some website that it's recommanded to have a 750W psu if i were to run a 2900xt gfx

Yup... but graphics card alone doesn't determine how much power you need. Other hardware parts play a part.

hmmm what are those that consume most of the power ? gfx and processor right ? if so i'm planning to get the c2d 6750, so will the 750w be sufficient ? Thanks

Main ones are processor, RAM and hard disk besides the graphics card. Basically, to be on the safe side, I would get at least 800W based on the specs given.
