Slow internet connection

  Hi there,
  
  Recently i just signed up Hub 12000kpbs. It seems like the speed very slow, like access to video streamings and other forums web pages.
  Any one a Hub?

  It's only one PC. Connecting speed is 12000kbps. Very slow in downloading videos and some forums. I have put up feed back of the trace route and they told me its within the specs. This is a direct connection to the Modem provided after signing.
  During that 1st period, many technical calls, back and forth replies from their tech service many times, still can't resolved.
  I requested for a bill rebate for this circumstances and they turned me down.
  And they told me to pay up or i can terminate the contract, but to pay the penalty. Please comment on this if anyone could!!

  Then it's a common problem. Could be too many hubbers around your area, which literally splits the bandwidth despite the great speed.

  i get this problem sometimes too. for singnet you don't, however.

  Yeah! Singnet and Pacnet do not have this problems. I have compared with me Pacnet 512kbps, its even faster then this HUb12k. this is ridiculous!! They just won't accept the fact. Keep saying user should not only go for video streamings etc.. I felt like terminating the contract by paying the penalty, but it just not worthy..

  That means my block very few hubbers, and even fewer come 3am onwards.

  Perhaps it's your computer. Clear ur cookies, cache, temporary internet files and history. Or u can download the freeware, CCleaner.

  yep. Ccleaner. definitely get thumps up from me.
  
  whenever youtube loads like a snail , use Ccleaner. it will clean unnecessary things that clog up your internet thingys. you have to close your browser 1st. then use ccleaner.
  
  then open up your browser again , and lok at the results.
  
  cclean after every internet usage.

  Their technical man did came down and checked using his lap top. Found to be damn slow too. But trace route speed check they said was within specs. So the confusion is there. Don't know whether could write them a letter or not!!
  I'm paying $70+ for this kind of speed. As well go for Singnet. 3500kbps cheaper and faster.
  Would appreciate any inputs/suggestions if anyone out there would do.

  I think there's some clause on the service provided not within the specs that they specified or something like that... which will allow you to terminate the contract... not so sure about that...
  
  Is the speed different at different times of the day? If it is, it may be due to more people using the same bandwidth.

  I have even tried in the early afternoon, most time at night as well. It seems to be same. i thought maybe i could write them an legal issue regarding this case. Is it possible be of our advantages?

  expected from hub.
  singnet might seem more expensive for a slower speed
  but its 1 to 1, not shared.

  It's not worth it. You pay so much just to fight a legal case?
  
  My suggestion, finish the contract and sign up with another ISP.
