Learning Computer , the other side (need some guide)

  I want to learn more about the computer component from outside to inside such as serial port or PS/2 connector stuff to SATA or bus controller stuff
  
  Too much , cant name them all , read up wiki and howstuff work , the category is too wide and i become more confuse..........
  
  Is there any books recomend me buy got explain all those stuff , from outside to insde , and what is those above thing categorise under ? Motherboard ?

  Comptia A+ books.
  
  I like Bigelow Hardware book. It's one of the most comprehensive books, but it's also expensive. Very thick also.
  
  A+ books by Thomson (author Jean Andrews) are good.
  
  Also, Sybex books are good.
  
  Just don't get any Bible or Passport books, those books suck literally. And once you get the basics, keep yourself up to date. Those books are not of much use in a few years' time as technology moves. You can still keep them reference though, they are a great help any time.

  Popular doesn't sell these books. Kino got sell. Orchard branch. The other branches I don't think I saw these books.

  No idea, just need to know anybody who says they have an A+ cert from Comptia means they are technicians, specifically computer technicians.

  got a A+ book today , i see non you recomend in the shelf so i finally got a comptia A+ certification for dummies

  Err... A+ books assume you have basic knowledge of PCs...
