For laptops, due to integrated hardware, would XP be able to search and get the drivers required?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Windows will do it nicely, because Windows doesn't like Linux. That is why for those who want to dual boot, must ALWAYS install Windows first, then Linux. Never the other way round.
No. Windows only provide the basic drivers. Some may work, some may not. If it doesn't, you can get the drivers from your laptop manufacturer website.Originally posted by deathscythe99:For laptops, due to integrated hardware, would XP be able to search and get the drivers required?
Yes, it's another OS.Originally posted by fifteen:whats linux? a OS?
Looks nicer, not so lag, security is better (note that for security, it won't be true if Linux starts to gain popularity as hackers will target it, just like how MS is being targeted)Originally posted by fifteen:whats the advantages and disadvantages of linux?

Install Linux first, then Windows, your computer will never start because it can never find the bootloader.Originally posted by fifteen:so serious mehs...
So...how to overcome the problem when Linux is installed alrd?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Install Linux first, then Windows, your computer will never start because it can never find the bootloader.
Install Windows first then Linux, it will have no problems, unless you tweak something or the installation is corrupted.
If there's no other OS other than Linux, just format away and reinstall Linux. Or just format away and install Windows.Originally posted by deathscythe99:So...how to overcome the problem when Linux is installed alrd?
