hi there, im helping a friend to ask around whether which internet subscriptions is most suitable for a budget user. i recommended him my plan but he said it was too expensive. so i am trying to find out which providers has the cheapeast subscription? the speed must be 256k onwards.

Singnet. If he is so cheapo and has a laptop, just go to any of the Wireless@SG hotspots.

Singnet is the cheapest if I'm not wrong. If he wants any cheaper, go for Jet packs or Jumbo packs or whatever they are called. It's offered by both Starhub and Singnet, and charges only whenever he use the Internet.
Another cheap one, M1. But it's pretty limited. If he doesn't surf much, he can use it. -
he only wants to play some games with it so i guess the speed must be at least 256k. i have seen the m1's offer and its the wireless. but not that good though...
