Can't get online..

  I am now using WiFi from others..Now my broadband [ Motorola Surfboard ] Light s don't blink.. why ? and that makes my router obsolete

  if not, probably ur modem (surfboard) died on u

  dun think so .. because all the lights dun blink..something is amiss... and yea i tried restarting the linksys router but with no avail

  the surfboard modem doesnt have any lights @ all?
  or they dont blink?
  
  for me, only the 1 orange light blinks. the other 4 green lights remain on.
  
  erm, have you checked the cables?

  tried directly connecting your laptop/desktop to the modem via cable?

  all don't blink ... yea checked cables ... never tried connect directly to laptop...too much of a fuss,,

  When restart, do you disconnect power from the modem and let it rest for about a minute before on-ing it again?
  
  Did you try a 2nd modem?
  
  Can you connect to the router and check your settings?

  either one, the power adaptor of the modem has died on you
  or your modem died on you
  
  try connecting it directly first, if it doesn then i think it's time for a new modem
