Websites blocking Firefox users

This one is quite recent, I think, although I think it may have been around for some time. I've just received 2 emails on it.
Some websites, which uses advertising to generate incoming, has taken additional steps to write special codes to block users using the Firefox browser because certain Firefox addon could block advertising.
Here is one of the error received:

His site should be named Jack ***, rather than Jack Lewis.
I think there's something wrong with his script, it screwed up my IE.
My IE is squeaky clean.

something wrong with the block code .. first time u enter with firefox no problem ..
but when u temp allow jacklewis.net .. than the firefox blocking code start to work ..
but if u clear the cache and temp file .. restart firefox .. u can go in to the site again -

i dun think u can bypass from user's side. cuz the script's on their server side.

It can be bypassed. They check against the user agent string - which can be changed from the user's side.

In my opinion, any developer that blocks IE is bound to lose more than 80% of the users.
