Do i need to protect my wireless?

As per above, is it necessary to protect a wireless internet with a password.
if need, how do i do it? -
Read the manual. Lost, find online. And yes, you need to protect your wireless network. If you fancy being sued for doing something that you've not done, you can go ahead and leave it wide open. Not to mention if your identity is stolen.

yes. incase someone connects to your network and download illigal stuffs

u can try this
Hide your SSID(stop broadcasting SSID)
change your DNS server and default gateway IP address
disable DHCP server and implement static ips to your computers
use subnet mask
but this cannot guarantee that your server is safe.. people like me can still be able to find a way to connect.
even if got passphrase ... also can hack through -

I think there are many unsecure wireless point around.
If you want to keep the usage to authorise persons.
Then setup the security. -
