haha, ya. they actually have some driver to activate hardware sound on their website which is the first link i put up. its directly frm sis for the northbridge.
HowEver! they also have a dedicated onboard sound chip below the southbridge frm AC 97. dunno wats the one in northbridge for then since its the southbridge handling sound requests.... pretty horribly planned board design. some wierd redundant parts....
summore ts say is something called sis so i thought really frm northbridge although nt likely since u cant uninstall it simply frm add remove programs.
but the ac97 driver set CAN be uninstalled frm the add remove program...
Anyway, y were u fiddling with ur sound drivers and uninstalled it anyway? so naughty....
