Noob with router

  Hi,
  I recently dug out my router so that i can use the WI FI for my DS.
  But i couldnt get the connection despite several attempts.
  
  i search through some guide and most of the steps seem easy and i followed them.
  
  The PPPoE connection ...typing in yr ISP provided user name n pwd...but still cannot work ...
  
  The status screen kept showing disconnected after attempting to connect.
  
  Can any 1 recommed and remedy for me ...?
  
  Router-link 108G wireless gaming router
  ISP:Singnet
  Modem:prolink hurricane 9000C

  so u cant connect internet with the router or ur ds cant connect to the router or ur ds cant connect to internet(?!?!?!)...
  
  ur router got encryption key anot? got use wep? maybe can try disable it first.

  If your ISP is Singnet, your username is userid@singnet
  
  Not just the userid only.
  
  Others, I don't know.

  does the ds have a mac address with it? maybe u got a mac filter on on ur router. can try adding it manually or jus disable mac filter.

  Cant connect to internet with my router using the computer.
  Yes.i did type username@singnet.

  post also the security setting for ur router like mac filters or wep encryption. maybe ur firewall also blocking.
  
  and how is ur setup for ur router and modem combo? u might have wired them wrongly too. are the phone filters at the right places?
  
  when u got to start, settings, network connections, wat connections do you see?

  Wep settings i disabled it as u suggested,but it didnt work.
  Wiring isnt wrg either.dbl checked.
  
  Network settings part wise i only see the usual LAN that i use for connecting to net

  ok, try this
  go to start, run. type cmd, in the prompt, type ipconfig/all
  wat do u see?

  thanks for the help.
  I managed to solve the problem,all it needed was an firmware upgrade ..lolz...
  should have thought of that earlier.

  You are the first one that needs firmware upgrade before you can get to the Net.

  But,after spending so much time getting my WI FI up,i still couldnt use it for my DS.
  
  REason behind?Cause apparently singnet has some problems pinging with nintendo wifi site...n sad thing is they arent really doing anything productive to solve it.sighz .....
