A day in a life of an IT support guy

7.30am...come to werk...
8am..breakfast...
8.30am...check email...
8.45am....do any rollouts given
9.am...make my rounds...
12pm...lunch....
12.30pm...nap...
1pm...do hardware troubleshooting on hardware....escalating hardware faults to necessary vendors
2pm...proceed to my 7 labs and check on PCs...giving up in the end on chronic faults..hehehe
4pm...check email again...
5pm..supposedly to end...but doing software and application troubleshooting..
6.30pm..finally head home..
in between 8am to 5pm....answer calls and head on to adhoc troubleshooting...a day can go up to 20-30 calls from users...
can go mad actually...but fun i suppose... -
But it's a fun job.
You get all kinds of funny things. When on the job, you want to whack them, then when you look back at it, it's just so damn funny. -

hah yea! the stupidest problem i've seen was this user said her monitor got problem, but is becuz she nv turn on her monitor. even though i checked with her on the phone asking if she turned on her monitor already or not.
