If these are the specs that you want, you can go second-hand shops and get. As far as I know, such specs are pretty rare now. With the exception of RAM and graphics card.Originally posted by davidche:Oh and im DIY. Im going to put these stuffs into my current comp. Ive already thought of my combo except for the mobo which i havent decided yet due to the discouraging responses.
Ram : KINGSTON 400 DDR RAM 512MB 50bux
grafs: Nvidia GF 6600LE AGP DDR256MB 50bux
proces: p4 2.8Ghz 100bux
if mainboard is 150bux, then total is 350
why rare?Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:If these are the specs that you want, you can go second-hand shops and get. As far as I know, such specs are pretty rare now. With the exception of RAM and graphics card.
P4 2.8GHz processor is the common specs for 2005 and 2006 and the early part of 2007.Originally posted by davidche:why rare?
err.. ram of 512 going together with 256 grafs should be ok right? the mother board is the one that i dont know what to choose. Cos it must be compatible with the graf and proc and ram .
thx alot mayi. You are the best!! Hope you get a wonderful husband!!!!Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:P4 2.8GHz processor is the common specs for 2005 and 2006 and the early part of 2007.
Well.. I can come up with the specs in a while.
Any reason why 1.6GHz for processor? quite far from 2.8 right.Originally posted by ndmmxiaomayi:Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L Motherboard + Intel Duo Core Processor 1.6GHz - $281
Kingston DDR2 667MHz RAM 1GB - $59
Leadtek nVidia 7200GS 256MB - $82
I assume that you will be using your old hardware, like hard disk and monitor, so I didn't include them.
Prices from Laser Distributor @ Sim Lim Level 5
Duo Core processor.. not single processor... you won't be able to afford Core 2 Duo processor + mainboard price anyway.Originally posted by davidche:Any reason why 1.6GHz for processor? quite far from 2.8 right.
Hey really thx alot for your help and recommendations!!
