Alert: Scam in Friendster ( Possible trojan infection too )

This is for those using friendster:
Beware of the scam sites that will try to log your passwords.
And not to run the update they give you..
may have a trojan or virus
thou it doesnt do any thing on my box and scans shown it to be clean..
Once again, always make sure that you are entering passwords or such into the correct website. -

a friend of mine in friendster had her profile bugged with it.
It felt funny when the white areas in her profile (The parts where there are normally friendster adverts) shows a different link. clicking on them gives these out..
P.S. i did some footprinting and it showed that some of the friendster built in javascripts had the malicious codes in em. -
maybe she copied some ready made script off some malicious site. lots of those 'helpful' frenster websites that offer to help u simply customizing ur profile

yes.. its a fake.. the problem is that its linked from the main friendster website that makes it dangerous.

Have you contacted Friendster? If no, contact them so they could those links. A lot of websites are getting hacked these days. Just this week alone, at least 4 prominent government/organizations websites are broken into.
