laptop help

  hey, i got a 1 1/2 yr/old laptop
  recently got some problem, can run, but no screen.
  what's the problem ah? can solve anot ah?
  is a compaq laptop.

  as good as throw away because the monitor might not have a replacement.... but to make sure, plug the laptop to a normal PC monitor and switch the output from laptop screen to external screen.
  
  If that works, you can use it as a desktop.

  not running meaning not running from the start POST or boot up and can you see anything at POST?

  i press the power button, only got a light. but no sound or anything from the system. usually will have like a system running sound lo..

  unless u have warranty. Otherwise the cost will be as good as buying a new laptop.

  try take out bat... plug in power cord then press "on" again and see how...

  ur motherboard problem

  if all running but cant display anything, try to go to bios if there is possible to go bios. may be your hard disk or mobo
  
  unlesss ur monitor is complete black = scrap and change a new laptop.
