why got this ami thingy..?

  this is smth new la..nowadays i everytime on my com then while the systems set up then will come out this thingy..then everytime have to press F2 then re-adjust the date n time or else cannot sign in msn..anyway to solve this problem?

  thats your boot screen.. and the thing about your date and time.. it may be that your CMOS battery is flat..

  Battery dead. By the way, you are using a rare BIOS that's barely used in SG. This BIOS is more common in US than in Asia.

  no.. if you've seen the pc's during the pentium and before the pentium's age most of em are of this bios.. thats a old one..

  ami bios nt uncommon wat... some taiwan boards also use. if he got some super old version of phoenix bios then i more stun......

  Nah, they are not common in SG... I got Phoenix BIOS...
  
  Most of the boards here, even if manufactured in Taiwan, uses Award BIOS.

  It doesn't affect anyway. Technicians are trained to recognize them.

  You can do something to solve this problem. Get a new battery that is. The BIOS doesn't affect it...
