experienced 3 brands ( according to which i find best)
Sony Vaio (even though it's one of the cheaper models)
Hp
Acer ( high end @ that time, 1gb, and 1.6ghz) -

Frankly there are no best laptop brands, your 4k vaio can spoil the next day.The word best is very subjective, so dun ask this sorta of general question and expect a decent answer because we don't know what is your definition of "best"

vaio? i think its more in the "costliest notebook brand in the world", although the built and weight it can boast.
got one and i'm sure a high end dell or fujitsu and match up specifications wise. -
