Anti Virus which takes up less Memory[RAM]?

Which do you recommend? I'm currently using McAfee anti virus with firewall installed. It's good as an anti virus and firewall but I find that it takes up too much of my RAM(512MB only). Although it is running in background, it takes up 19,596K, which I think it's a lot.

I use AntiVir and Sunbelt Kerio. Both programs have a much smaller foot print than McAfee.

Nope. 1.5 GB of RAM is now sitting well inside my computer case and fully utilized. I think what you're referring to is the RAM's clockspeed. If you use a DDR2-667 RAM and a DDR2-533 RAM on the same board, the 667 one will be downclocked to a 533.Originally posted by yiha093:canot canot

use AVG antivirus,better and less ram resources used.

use NOD32.. quite gd leh.. the memory usuage very low.. the cup and PF usuage can remain quite low when u r scanning the com.. hahaha.. cpu usuage dun exceed 50% when u scanning sia.. somemore scan very fast.. lol..20mins like that finish liao..

I just upgrade to 2GB RAM for my laptop. Fully utilized a not is another matter
