D.C minutes after startup.

My Singtel connection (I use a router shared between me and my sister's computer) always D.C for once and then auto connect back minutes after starting up my computer everytime. Whenever I logon and start gaming with my friends, my connection will get cut off halfway and it has been getting irritating. Any solutions?

I assume that it's wireless. Can you check that there are no other wireless networks that is saved in Windows. If there, remove all of them except your own wireless networks, otherwise Windows just connect any old how.

Can you log in to your router and check the NAT settings. Make sure that it is turned on. It's either under Security or Advanced section of your router.

1. Start > Run and type in cmd
2. Type in ipconfig and press Enter.
There's one line called Default Gateway. Type in that IP address into your browser and log in. -

Since you DC-ed again, can you check that the router doesn't auto DC after a period of time.
