  ask something: if let's say i installed fifa 2007 on C drive and moved the installed folders and files to E drive and i reformatted my com, after i reformat it can it work w/o installing again?
  
  can someone explain to me what does an install does anyway? because i have this program (oblivion the elder scrolls IV which does not require any installation, just click the .exe file and play.)

  It will not work without installing.
  
  Windows doesn't work this way.
  
  Windows have special files known as libraries - these are your DLL files. These files will need to be registered before they can be loaded to memory.
  
  Another type of file is the OCX files. They are usually plug-ins.
  
  Also, games have special file types which needs to be registered with Windows before they can run, otherwise, your game won't recognize the type and give out an error while running.
  
  The only time a Windows program that doesn't need installing is when they have no other files, just the EXE file itself or if the code has already been compiled and doesn't use any of Windows libraries files.

  is your game original? if no, you should be able to move the game folder and still able to run since the game is most likely cracked.
  
  Since you are reformating your comp, why not just reinstall/unzip the game and keep only the "saves files" for the game.
