help needed

  i can't view my hidden files and folders,i knew this can be done by going to control panel and tick on the show hidden files options,but after doing so,the action is being un-do and when i view the control panel again it tick on the hide files and folders instead

  I believe my com might have being infected by virus or spyware,no matter how much time i remove the spyware n virus using avg anti spyware , anti virus and spyware doc the spyware and virus will somehow reappear again,anyone has any better anti virus or anti spyware program to recommend?

  If it's Vista, I don't help. I have no Vista machine to test out what will happen.

  thanks for your reply,but my problem is the options in the control panel change back to "do not show hidden files and folders" after i tick on the "show hidden files and folders"

  hmm i register.login at 1st the page get hang,i re login but can't seem to edit my profile by clicking the finish icon

  XP can try this registry fix:
  
  Open Notepad and copy and paste the bold parts into Notepad:
  
  Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
  
  [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL]
  "CheckedValue"=dword:00000001
  
  Click on File > Save As
  
  Save it fix.reg
  
  Select All Files from the drop down list.
  
  Click Save.
  
  Then double click to run it.
  
  Make sure your Notepad is maximized while copying and pasting it in.

  Thanks alot,the problem is solved but is there any other anti spyware and anti virus to recommend,the virus and spyware that i have detect and remove seems to be reappearing.
