download spd/rate

  what determines it? mine drops from like 90kp/s until 25kb/s then remains constant. why like that huh? is it my speed or the no of users dl-ing from the site?

  Speed burst. Usually for a few seconds the speed is high, after a while it drops rapidly before stabilizing.

  other than ur own internet speed
  dl spd/rate also depends on:
  1. amt of traffic (no. of users dl-ing from the same server)
  2. server's speed (eg. if u dl-ing from filefront, then filefront is the server)

  the no. of seeders if you are using torrent. Or u haven't open the port.

  that is a simple answer, that torrent is not properly seeded at all, and maybe, someone leech and run...... and i guess you must be connect to american seeders or leechers, because their speed is crap....
  
  japan and asian seeders and leechers gives you woohoo speed, and can be up to 500KB/s, or min 100KB/s But still depends on what you are downloading

  how do you find out the type of seeder? what's a seed?

  a seeder is a peer in torrent who does upload only and no download( except for tracker info ectect).
