Hi all! I've got a problem:
Basically, I bought a Ps2 Controller (Gameshark 3, Version 5) with a USB Connector that allows me to connect it to my PC. I am using this controller to play Devil May Cry 3 on PC. Basically, this game allows the uder to use both keyboard and PS2 Controller to play. However, after I plug in the controller, it does not follow the instructions on the screen. For example, since Devil May Cry 3 is also a PS2 game, all those who have Ps2s out there will know that in a third person adventure game, the left analog stick is usually the movement one while the right analog stick is the camera one. However, now, the left analog is the camera, and the right analog is the movement even though instructions in the game insists the right analog stick is the camera one.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not only concerned about the funny analog sticks. Furthermore, the movement on the right analog stick is totally screwed up. It's not even inverted, and there's no option in the game to invert it what so ever. Pushing up on the right analog will make your character go left, while pushing down will make your character go right. Left is forward, while right is backwards. I am pretty sure this has got nothing to do with the game.
I just bought this controller about 2 days back. I would be grateful if there were some programmes or some method to test whether is it my controller problem? Or is the game programming simply screwed? (Cause the game is a pirated one)
Thanks all who have helped!
