anyone know what happen with my com? need help

last night i heard a sound from my cpu and after a while, the whole computer shut now. when i try to startup again, halfway through the windows loading screen, the computer will turn off.
this morning, i try again and same thing happen. there was once i manage to login to my windows completely but after a while the computer off by itself. when i try again, i see this message "over clocking fail" and the com shut down again but i never over clock my processor before.
now i just try to startup again and i'm able to online again. so i wondering what has happened and where the sound came from. scare my cpu might blow up. i'm not sure when this computer might turn off again. is there any parts that i should replace? -
Other than you using the computer, anybody else?
If there are, do the others have the technical knowledge to overclock? -
only me using the computer. it has never been over clock before. one more thing i forgot to mention, the cpu temperature sometime is very high hitting 80+ to 90+ degree then sometimes back to the normal 60+ degree. not sure is it over heat that cause it to turn off.

The temperature is high enough to cook eggs. You better check that your fan and heat sink is working properly. If both are, add an additional fan to cool it down.

so the fault lie with the temperature? cos whenever i try running a full screen game, the temperature sure shoot up. if i wan to change, what are the parts that i should change?

erm.. i didn't over clock and i dunno how to do it. maybe is because my heat sink is dusty and the processor over heat. but what worry me is where the sound came from.

CPU heatsink lo. And what sort of sound did you hear regarding the first post? Maybe some bug flew into your CPU fan and got stuck lol. it sound like something explode inside. then i open the case can't find anything that has exploded. tmr i try cleaning the heat sink see if the temperature still so high or not. btw, what is the normal temperature that i should be seeing?
40+, 50+? -

change a new one.. -
Leave the case open and switch on the com to check if the fan's spinning. 50 to 60+ C should be quite ok, I guess. oo. thx alot. i see a very thick layer of dust on the heat sink. tmr i clean up then see how bah. really worrying because that the first time i see my cpu sudden shut down.
