need help. itis safe to mix the ram?

  i got a Mobile Core 2 Duo 1.66Ghz
  current got two ram slots
  one of the ram slots occupied with a 1GB DDR2 266Mhz Hyundai Electronics
  is it safe to occupy the other with a Kingston KVR 2.5V 512mb ram?
  
  can mix? i wan slighty better to have 1.5GB ram

  saw on the net if u mix 400 with 333, u will onlyget the slower one right. i dont really bother about the speed.
  just need to know whether it will not crap my com up. i dont wan it tospoil.

  Wrong RAM at the most don't boot up. At the worst, your motherboard go and meet your ancestors.

  anyway you need to buy ddr2 ram 1gb. It is 2-3x cheaper. You might want to consider ddr2 2gb which is quite expensive though.
  
  ddr1 ram 1gb is very expensive as it is no longer mass produced.

  DDR2 starts from 533 I think (edit: Not MHz, paiseh)

  2.5 V is definitely DDR technology
  
  DDR2 uses 1.8V
