Tips on buying cheap laptops

  Buy directly from a distributor, rather than at Best Denki or others. My colleague bought her laptop directly from distributor and it only cost her $1100. Original price is $1500 plus. So how big the difference is.
  
  Go and around, widen your network and find a distributor! The one my colleague bought from is at Chinatown.

  other tips would be scouting newspapers, tech mags, and going down to simlim or funan.
