I received an offer from PacNet to renew my cable express 6000 plan, entitling me to purchase a wireless router at $133.75. Not sure what make or model they are giving, but does that sound like an offer? Can i find cheaper ones from SLS?
Other question is, how do I go about setting up a wireless network at home?
Sorry, an IT dufus here

$133 IMO is a very high price to pay. I paid less than $110 for a router + wireless card.

I'm using cable modem. No much of complains, most of the time it does connect through on the first try. And too lazy to change to Starhub. Anyways, Pacnet is the only one that has such low subscription rate. 20hours free. Don't really surf that much at home.
What do I need to do to set up a network at home?

if u already have a cable modem, u just need to get a wireless router.....$50 - $60 can get already
then follow instructions

Anybody know where I can get some info on setting up a network at home by myself?

Your manual is the best guide. Otherwise, Google "setting up a home network", without the quotes.
