com doesn't save things..

hiya.. its me again >_>
this time , everytime i on my cpu. i save a bookmark on firefox , or delete a picture file.Then i restart my cpu. The bookmark will be gone , and the picture will still be there.. something really wrong.. anyone think they can help me here? actually it would be better if i could come to you then you help me check my laptop for other problems too..i am willing to pay.. but not something too expensive.. give me a price range? thanks in advance >.< cpu alot problems, better to solve it now than later totally cannot use -

did u shut down ur computer properly? because windows cache hard disk changes for a while and these cache will be gone if u just take off the plug

What browser are you using? Did you create a special folder for your bookmarks?

special folders?? ya , i do catogorize my bookmarks into different folders , but when i save new bookmarks , i never place them into any other folders. I do shut down my cpu properly >_<
Cpu specs:Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T5600 @ 1.83GHZ , 1.83GHZ 1GB of RAM
Its an acer laptop bought in Singapore Poly.. This problem only starts around 2 or 3 weeks ago..? only noticed this problem around 1 week ago.

In this folder, you will find a file called bookmarks.html
Open with a browser and find if the website is bookmarked properly.
You need to show hidden files to view the contents...- [*]Open My Computer.
[*]Go to Tools > Folder Options.
[*]Select the View tab.
[*]Scroll down to Hidden files and folders.
[*]Select Show hidden files and folders.
[*]Uncheck (untick) Hide extensions of known file types.
[*]Uncheck (untick) Hide protected operating system files (Recommended).
[*]Click Yes when prompted.
[*]Click OK.
[*]Close My Computer. Then open it again. -
uh.. i checked my bookmarks. when i bookmarked new websites , then i open the bookmarks.html , the new bookmark will be there. but the thing is , after i shutdown and then open back my laptop , the bookmark will be gone. i think the point is my laptop is not saving new settings/things le..

Sounds like your profile corrupted.
Create a new one and see if it works:

hey! i created a new profile , it worked now =D thanks a lot. now thats left is the picture that i couldn't delete.. please dun tell me my window's profile is corrupted too >.< , i dun wan restart whole thing...

Windows profile corrupted = cannot log in. Since you can, it's not a corruption of Windows profile. I will try and figure out this problem...

in order that you do not lose what you download, in TOOLS>OPTIONS>MAIN click
