about heatsink

  hmm i need to ask which matterial is better for heatsink?
  
  copper or aluminium
  
  and is all currently default heatsink we used are aluminium rite?

  Copper, its a better conductor of heat. Companies use aluminium cause its cheaper....

  Seems like a copper HS would be more expensive, and the extra cost is only worth it when it goes with a good fan.

  Copper is a better conductor of heat as compaired to Aluminum but in the industry and material engineering and selection there is always the challenge of weighing the pros and cons of either materials in terms of weight, ease of machining/ manufacturing, cost versus their performance.
  
  As long as its not an overkill, vendors can keep the manufacturing cost low and market their products to the end users in most general applications.
