help! com hang and auto rs and i cant carry on after...

  my asus mother board screen came up with the sentences press del go bios etc...after this screen i get the following...
  
  select boot device or insert boot media and enter any key
  
  any idea what's wrong?help pls...thanks...

  what u do before that? did u do something with some partition programs?

  hook up hard disk to another computer and run chkdsk
  
  put in windows CD
  run recovery console...then use fixmbr command to fix master boot record..
  
  if both faill...go reinstall ure OS....

  nth...jus came home frm camp played dota halfway then wmp stopped playing and whole com lagged...and it jus happened...

  means remove hdd and put into another pc?
  
  do i have to press anything when i put in my windows cd in my current pc?

  ok...tried using recovery console...windows cant detect my hdd and thn it rebooted...
  
  anywhere got services to recover my data frm my hdd?

  go simlim.. they have these services. however,
  
  1. u also can backup your ownself. plug your hard disk into another cpu as a secondary hdd and extract data.
  
  2. or buy a casing for the hardisk so can use as an external hdd, plug into computer and extract data.
  
  3. if u have another empty partition or partition which u dont need, install an OS. then access ur com from that OS and extract data from where u want

  u need to start the boot console.....differs for alot of computers... but usually is F12....

  you can still use the drive. however it needs to be reinstalled with OS or recover from recovery disc, or image disc. in other words, disc that are bootable.
  
  but as in the data recovery, ive never done this after the problem. u can test it urself or consult HWZ people.
  
  my prediction is that u can still recover the files.

  oh ya, can u boot into bios and check whether your hardisk is in Raid settings. i assume that u are using 1 hdd physically to boot up the computer before u encounter this problem

  sorry...how to check raid setting?i'm in bios now...the blue screen thing right?
  and i only have 1 hdd but it's partitioned...
