I have seem the 13 inch mac book sold here for ard 1kUSD. Check with the price in sg apple shop and its sold here for 1.8SGD. Wonder is it so good to buy apple laptop as now there are also using intel motherboard.
So compare to those compac, fujitsu, sony, dell, etc... is it worth to buy macbook since i considering using windows OS instead of mac OS? -

I think TS is considering, since Intel-based laptops are able to run Mac OS X now, whether it is still worth the money to purchase a Mac.
Imo, Macs' exterior is really well-designed, so if you're one who go for looks, get the Mac. Feature and performance-wise...you'll need to ask those who check out laptops on a regular basis. Maybe mayi can help you. =D -
if u dun use mac os x dun bother unless u go for design. the macbook is a heavy machine.

Are you planning to do a MacWinTel?
Looks like Mac, using Windows and Intel processor.
Personally, I would prefer that you go to the Apple Centre and get a feel of the laptop. I can't get use to Apple's laptop keyboard (the feel and touch).
If you are OK with it, then go ahead. And if you need to be mobile, check the weight. Comparing Macbooks with other brands, the other brands definitely have the edge. -
never ever install windows in a macbook via dual boot...even mac gurus dont recommend....if u die die need to install windows xp too...make sure u got the Win XP SP2 installer...
Macs are great..good for designtypes.......video rendering....far superior than PCs....
but please......apply for applecare....if macs spoil and u dun have the warranty......u can sell backside cos repairs at the apple hospital are pricy..
tlaking abt 13inch macbooks and not the pro...
the black one seems lighter by a teeny bit...even though the specs says otherwise....
once u go mac....dun even think of windows...its a whole new world with their own version of window-style apps...and macs are far superior in many ways....
remember.,..get the warranty...

Last time I hear when apple having their motherboard, its much powerful than intel, therefore when i see now using intel board, I am curious y there are still selling more expensive than the normal laptop. I tot apple might have different kind of intel board thus making the difference in price between the laptop. Think now I can make my decisions. Thks guys!

apple as a system is far better than windows....
more stable..
very rarely affected by viruses..
the way a mac os is designed is far more superior and less resource intensive than vista or xp...
and its easier to pick up women with a macbook...
unless u are using a sexy black lenovo x60..heeheehee
