help! regarding windows firewall, the UPnP Framework option

  in the windows firewall, theres an exception tab...
  
  in it, theres 'UPnP Framework'...
  
  so should it be checked or unchecked? what are the consequences of checked and unchecked options?

  UPnP is usually use for P2P programs.
  
  If you use P2P, leave it unchecked. If you don't use P2P, check it.
  
  UPnP IS NOT Plug n Play. UPnP is a computer network protocol.

  but if leave unchecked, means it will be blocked by windows firewall leh.
  
  so if i use bitTornado, should leave it checked or unchecked???

  Try both and see what happens. I don't use P2P.

  Ya. P2P is not my friend. Quite slow, and I hated configuring and re-configuring all my other settings. The only one time I used it was when I downloaded Ubuntu. For some reason, HTTP or FTP wouldn't work, so I used a torrent instead.

  Slow as in download speed or that the torrent client is hogging on computer resources? The former depends on the seed to leecher (downloaders) ratio of the torrent, whereas if you mean the latter - use uTorrent. =D

  Download speed. Torrent client isn't really hogging my system resources, despite it being a P2 machine.
  
  Considering that a popular Linux distro has so many seeds and took me one whole night to download, it's slow.
  
  HTTP/FTP with an accelerator at the most take me 1 hour or slightly more.
  
  And settings refer to my security settings. Router, re-configure for port fowarding plus allow the client to get through.
  
  Firewall - basically, it's ringing because it's connected to hundreds of PCs.
