  sure... ull need a REF for your HDD to MOD it with the PATA HDD but u gota put it through a BCC to check for KOM and finally install the RWA before the USB.

  Why need mod de? I thought the only difference between an internal PATA HDD and an external HDD is the USB to IDE connector?

  i only know is buy a hdd casing then buy a 2.5 inch hdd then put it in casing and format it for portable hdd

  Not really. Now more and more of these casings are made for SATA ones.
