Hi all! I'm thinking of upgrading my PC's graphics capability and need some advise re: the hardware to get.
Am currently running a P4 3.0Ghz with a 865PE motherboard which i recently found out to support only AGP 8X graphics card. It currently has a Nvidia Geforce FX 5700LE card with 512MB of RAM and with this setup, i can't play my new game (Hitman: Blood Money) properly at all.
Went shopping around at Sim Lim today and found that an option would be to upgrade to a new graphics card. Found the fastest card would be the Geforce 7600 GT AGP that the salesman assured me will work in my current system. However this card is $215.
Was wondering: Is there any difference in terms of performance between a 7600GT AGP and a 7600GT PCI-E card? Would it make more sense for me to just change the motherboard to one that can support PCI-E cards? And if i were to change the motherboard would i have to change the processor and other devices/hardware as well?
Thanks in advance! Any advice is appreciated!
