Chkdsk auto-runs, 'repairs' indexing files???

  Ok I tried GParted LiveCD. Cannot load GUI interface.
  
  But I used another CD from the helpdesk here (they're damn friendly) and they helped me recover my data via some 'windows'-like environment they have called BartPE.
  
  So I have my data in the external HDD...

  BartPE is good. I think you can go and reformat and reinstall ba... Football Manager probably crashed it...

  Depends on what you are doing...
  
  The first thing I throw in is Firefox, Thunderbird and update all drivers to prevent any crashing.

  is good to make an image of your os partition by using norton ghost or acronis
  
  anything wrong, just clone back
