Sony>> is light and portable, And that X factor that makes it seem v-expensive and high class, Build Qualitywise , i had some bad experiences with them =/ Flimsy Keyboard keys and Mouse problems.
Other than that, it's quite good
HP>>It has "3d guard" that helps to reduce shock to your hdd. But if u can't really afford a HP, get a compaq, they are good brands in terms of built quality.
Acer>>The budget budget Pc now has quite a range of "quality" Pcs, worth a try. -

it sorta fits user's requirements..

oh ya and which lappie has a glossy type of screen included with it? one that can deflect off glare and make the screen not so bright so that's it easier on the eyes.

Hi guys, Im thinking of getting a laptop too. Mostly will be for school work, surfing, listening to music and watching movie. Im interested in the latest Sony VAIO merely because I'm attracted to the design. But I do not know how good it is, anyone using it or knows something about it can enlighten me? Im very lousy at computer stuffs, my knowledge of it is limited. Im just wondering for that pricing, will it be more worth it if i get another brand of laptop?
P.S my budget is around that pricing.

3. Weight consideration...below 1.7-2.5kg
just concentrate on this la

unless u get from IDA student tender laptops...or work for MOE...laptops most standard 1 year -

Namely : Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, 128MB nVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M and 256MB nVIDIA Quadro FX 570M. can anyone tell me the diff?

the intel GMA X3100 is very basic but touted as being able to handle games like WOW...BF2.. -

for standard laptops how long is their batt life without a ac power plugged in? the last time my lappie i used las tme onli 2 hrs plus gone liao.
