Yeah ever since I got it on the first day, I have lots of problems with it. I only get it working 3 days later after I got the modem. It all started out working fine after calling SingNet's tech support twice cause the first one simply says my modem is faulty. I managed to get the Internet and Broadband light. But after restarting my computer & power on and off the modem, the modem now keep having blinking broadband light than for a moment, the broadband light will turns solid and the internet light will be lit on, 2/3 seconds later the internet light will go off and the broadband light will continue blinking, this will continue forever. Since I have two 2Wire modem (my uncle gave me), I decided to try it too and after repeating what I have done, I get the same problem again. Singtel's support told me that they will send technician down on Tuesday but I decide that if I could find solutions to it, I can cancel the appointment and probably avoiding paying anything.
And I don't think it has anything to do with my cables, my old Speedtouch modem, have no problem at all and I am now using it to type this message.
So any solutions?
P.S. Just to test whether is the 2wire's cables & micro-filter faulty, I decided to connect it to my Speedtouch and it works, so problem probably now lies in the modem, I guess?
For Singtel you need to call technical support to ask them register that particular 2Wire modem to your broadband line. ![]()
These days with Singtel you can't just change modem as and when you like. ![]()
