Hmm, planning to write up a scenario (or two) or Tokyo Earthquake, a scenario which put scientists on the verge. Magnitude will be around 7-8 on Richter Scale and somewhere within Tokyo Bay.
I susbcribe to USGS Earthquake Notification Service (ENS) for more than a year, and got quite interested in earthquakes and so on. Read quite some books regarding possible scenarios, but all seemed too much of Japanese (who keep stressing about the Imperial Gardens and the Royalty's home and how they shared with earthquake victims) or Western (well, mass murder and no other really sensical ideas).
So I want to do a combo, how people cope, how the Self Defence Force cope, and how foreign agencies helped. To add on to the excitement, I try to include in Mt Fuji eruption, which is very much complex and hard to calculate too...
So, any ideas from you guys? Maybe you have went to Tokyo before and saw some potentially dangerous buildings which may come under jeopardy when a strong earthquake comes? I didn't notice much when I was there so its good to have some external ideas. Maybe how foreign agencies helped in evacuation etc if you have disaster recovery experience, too, its great to have more ideas...
Thanks.
