14 year old Finnish kid built the most unusual house on the planetJouni Ikonen, 14 year old son of Finnish sculptor designed very unusual house, reports architectural review magazine www.ark.fi. Unique building is covered with special polymeric fiber panels that change color by application of electricity. As a result Jouni obtained chameleon house changing colors at will of its owner.
As it is known, scientists already work in the field of chameleon materials but it seems that young genius has found final solution, as an upgrade of so called "smart" pigmentation polymeric fiber, initially invented by Riohiro Akashi, and his colleagues from the Fuji Xerox Company.
Sides of chameleon house coated with 1580 rectangle panels divided into 11 groups, each group covers its own part of the structure. Electricity comes by a wire from multi-channel hub DAC device linked with standard PC. Overall process conducted by computer software called Color Style Studio, it transforms standard RGB color sets into LAB and allows to switch color schemes in visual mode. Full house re-coloring take around 45 minutes.
Unusual house located in Kemi, Finland.
