i have been asked to write something abt it. i searched wiki but den also dun really understand what it is. anyone can tell me or give me summary?

The device is a device, a dead thing. The gate contains the code...
PLD are more flexible than fixed logic devices. A fixed logic device, once created, cannot be changed. That means they have to go through extensive testing to make sure that they are correct before being implemented, otherwise the programmers have to start all over again, from designing to implementation.
For PLD, they are more flexible. They can be modified, and the changes are immediately effective. Think of how we flash ROM on a motherboard, it's something similar to that effect. -

I graduate from electronics engineering in ngee ann poly 1998

Programmable logic device not a easy subject to learn
Last time my subject is towards digital ,hence digital system design

Programming in 1s and 0s (machine codes) are made more feasible because of assembly language, which can be seen as a direct translation to machine code.
Both computer programmers and electrical engineers will most likely just use a variety of programming languages, making use of the advantages of each of the different languages, and combining the output to form an efficient program.
