Mole concept chemistry

  Combined Chemistry is killing me...everything sounds alien to me.Mole concept is one part i dont understand and helping me would be excellent.
  
  I need to know how to do calculation on the mole.
  
  I.e. Ethene C2H4 burn o2 to form co2 and h20.
  Write equation:
  
  C2H4 + 2o2 = 2co2 + 2h20(my ans)
  
  2)cal the mass of co2 and mass of h20 formed when 0.28g of ethene are complete burned in o2.
  
  For this question i know that u have to compare the number of mole for the first mass and the last one(c2h4 and co2 - compare like division style)
  
  However after that(finding the no of mole), how u proceed?The questions ends with either "0.28g","25cm3" or "1g" so i do not have a direct one-way-for-all method.And they start with find volume or find mass so the questions are all diff.

  thanks.ive learned the 6 formulas but ironically i didnt know how 2 do coz i didnt know how 2 apply the formula lol.-

  It's very important to learn how to manipulate and apply the formula. More practices and it'll be your second nature when come to solving this kind of problem.
