Hello everyone. On Saturday night I stumbled on my sis school. I shall not disclose the school name, only that it is an IP school. On the site, it states that Sec3's are applicable for transfer, by submitting the application slip, a test and interview. I thought I could give it a try.. So I requested my sis to get the application slip for me tomorrow. I have some questions here :
1. I am in express stream and the school requires me to take HCL which I, in my life,has never taken. I heard from my sis there is no difference in HCL and CL in her school, they treat it as 1 subject. Is there any problem with me taking HCL ? Relevant authorities like MOE ?
2.I have chosen 8 courses in my school. If I apply for a transfer, will I need to re-choose the course ? Provided I get in the school..
3.If I have to wait till next year is it wise to retain a level ? BTW, the school is 6Years.

1) You'll need to have strong foundation in order to do well for your HCL. Yup, HCL is like one subject. Not much difference between CL and HCL though. How well are you doing for your Chinese now?
2) Highly possible that you'll need to re-choose your course again. But I guess your triple Science and A maths will be still there.
3) Depend on individual. If you can cope it, then don't retain. If you feel that you haven't understand what you're learning now, then retain. However, it's that Institution that have the ultimate decision.

hmm.
u need good foundation and a little flair to do HCL. HCL is broader and is kind of more "difficult" when comes to understanding as u will nt only just memorise vocabulary words and dats it. u need to do a lot of reading and stuff like dat. but den if ur other subject are ok, den ur HCL shld be ok coz u might need a little more time if u wan score A for ur HCL.
