hm. i've checked out the NUS website.Originally posted by selfobliged:taking psychology u need science rite?
dun drop maths. as many uni courses require maths.Originally posted by viopurp:same here.
im hesitating lor.
but my chem is really CMI.
it's either to drop chem or maths for me.
to drop maths is more risky bah?
and further more, i think maths can be improved through practising.
whereas chem is more of understanding.
promos are coming.
one U-grade and i'm dead.
gotta drop one.
think im not cut out to take 4H2s.
and during my first 3 months, i didn't take bio and chem.
bio still has some hope.
but chem ah...![]()
Or get a good tutor to help you in both. It helps... but the effect will only be very strong if you are hardworking as well.Originally posted by viopurp:say, if i only have a H1 chem.
and i took a course that requires H2 chemistry in future.
there should be some sort of bridging course?
i really need to drop one subject to H1.
cause my results really suck.
if i drop chem, i will have more time, that's what my teacher told me.
since i do not need to attend practical sessions.
she's strongly suggests that i drop one subject to a H1.
and she asks me to decide asap.
sigh. don't know what to do.
my maths and chem are equally bad.
if its a choice between the 2 then i suggest chem cos as said maths opens alot more doors.Originally posted by viopurp:say, if i only have a H1 chem.

as much as i would love to hold on to my 4 H2s.Originally posted by sir sickolot II:if you are commited to taking a major in psyh, then there is not science requirements in the 3 local universites. However, there is a maths requirement as psych, believe it or not, actually requires quite a fair bit of maths.
My suggestion is that since you're in J1, try to hold on to all your H2 subjects on hand. And try to brush up your weak areas in Chem during the upcoming holidays... always believe that you can improve.
Cheers and happy studying
im in vjc.Originally posted by unclebutcher:hi, which JC are you in? have u checked the promotional criteria for 4 H2s? i'm taking 4 H2's too, and over here at cjc it's a minimum of all C's for H2 and a pass(E) for GP.
just drop geog ,imo. useless subject.
that's a pretty stiff standard to attain all C's for H2 subjects. In my time ( albeit a different JC) chasing Donkeys and Elephants were pretty much the norm.Originally posted by unclebutcher:hi, which JC are you in? have u checked the promotional criteria for 4 H2s? i'm taking 4 H2's too, and over here at cjc it's a minimum of all C's for H2 and a pass(E) for GP.
