A moment is the turning effect of a force.
A torque is a rotational force.
At least that is what I think it is. Something like that I guess
moment: is the turning force of ONE force to a pivot point
torque: 2 equal forces turning together , no pivot point
go read your lecture notes for the exact defniton i too lazy to
first u learn moment, then apply the concept to torque and angular momentum.
torque is more like a representation of a force.
Momment about a point is the product of the force applied and the perpendicular distance from the line of action of the force to the pivot.
Torque of a couple consist of two parallel and opposite force whose line of action does not coincide and produces a turning effect only.
