The impossible question?

Okay i got a bloody impossible question right here.
I dunnoe if there is a answer for it, but its printed as question 3b on my maths paper 1.
Q) Find the smallest number if divided by 7,9 and 15 which leaves a remainder of 3.
So in algebra is
7a+3=x
9b+3=x
15c+3=x???
I tried to solve with simultaneous equation also cannot.
Like impossible to do, no such number.

One more. I think this one is do-able. But i cant see the pattern to it.
Q) Write down the next two terms.
7/8,2/3,1/2,4/11,1/4, ___ ___.
I simplified the whole thing liao.
Its 231/264,198/264,132,264,96/164,66/264.
In decimals 0.875,0.75,0.5,0.36363636363~,0.25.
Can see a definate pattern?

TS, before i go any further to try to solve ur 2nd problem... is there any typo in the question? because ur simplified part there are errors in the fraction and decimal. so pls clarify ASAP.

By right, 3 is the smallest number.
0 x 7 + 3 = 3
0 x 9 + 3 = 3
0 x 15 + 3 = 3
If not, 15 x 3 x 7 + 3 = 318

Breaking it down further by their differences.
55, 44, 36, 30
Breaking it down further again by their differences.
11, 8, 6
Notice that the difference from 11 to 8 is 3 and from 8 to 6 is 2.
