Does the newspaper always report the truth?
And education topics didnt come out...=(
so how..my points ok bo? can pass nots?
i would argue that there is no one truth, therefore the topic is invalidOriginally posted by eagle:Does the newspaper always report the truth?
No. Go speaker's corner and you will a whole load of opinions
I would harp on the word always.Originally posted by hisoka:i would argue that there is no one truth, therefore the topic is invalid
as i said, there is no one truth. truth can be coloured by words, reporting and even your feelings at the time and perception.Originally posted by eagle:I would harp on the word always.
The problem with the mass media is that it is government controlled. The main point is the media do report the truth, but a one-sided truth. One example would be the recent report that hawker fares did not raise because of GST. This, we know, is the half truth. We know too that certain hawkers do reduce their servings, which in fact decreased the value of the meal, while we the consumers continued to pay the same amount.
The government controlled media reports the "truth" that government wants us to know, and uses words in such a way that will portray what the incumbent wants us to think.
I have the conclusion that you are shallow, if you do not understand what the TS is talking about, then please diam.Originally posted by hisoka:so did they plan or not plan? if not planning is planning to fail, it means they planned. on the other hand, this makes the statement erroneous in stating that they did not plan.
given that the question is flawed, inaccurate and fails to make sense, no answer can be given.
Arh, and I would guess that you like to make shallow conclusions. The topic is a contradiction of terms between not planning and planning. unless the topic is resolved and understood, any answer you give has 50% chance or higher of being off-topic.Originally posted by sLeEpWaLkErInG:I have the conclusion that you are shallow, if you do not understand what the TS is talking about, then please diam.
What the TS wants is to write about "Failure to plan is planning to fail".
This topic in general is talking about making plans to achieve an objective, however planning comes in different forms, you can use mind-mapping, fishbone diagram, able to evalute SWOT, etc. Without all this consideration, confirm you will fail.
It is not abt the contradiction of not planning and planning. it is able not planning = fail, this term of failure to plan = plan to fail is vastly taught as one of the "subject" in most sales environment.Originally posted by hisoka:Arh, and I would guess that you like to make shallow conclusions. the difference is stating it as failure to plan = fail( possibly discuss the percentage and chances of failure though) and stating failling to plan = planning to fail.Originally posted by sLeEpWaLkErInG:It is not abt the contradiction of not planning and planning. it is able not planning = fail, this term of failure to plan = plan to fail is vastly taught as one of the "subject" in most sales environment.
This is just an expression of fail to plan = fail, the way of putting it in more sales kinda of jurgon is fail to plan = plan to fail.Originally posted by hisoka:the difference is stating it as failure to plan = fail( possibly discuss the percentage and chances of failure though) and stating failling to plan = planning to fail.
one sentence is logical while the other is logically flawed.
he is doing a english/gp nodule and not an artistic expression or sales/advertising one.Originally posted by sLeEpWaLkErInG:This is just an expression of fail to plan = fail, the way of putting it in more sales kinda of jurgon is fail to plan = plan to fail.
Many ppl are always trying to reinvent the wheel.
