  x² + 7x - 2 = 0
  x² + 7x + (7/2)² - 2 - (7/2)² = 0
  [ x + (7/2) ]² - 57/4 = 0
  [ x + (7/2) ]² = 57/4
  x + 7/2 = +/- sqroot (57/4)
  x = +sqroot (57/4) - 7/2 or x = -sqroot (57/4) - 7/2
  x = ? or ?
  
  3x² - 5x + 1 = 0
  3 ( x² - 5x/3 ) = -1
  x² - 5x/3 = -1/3
  x² - 5x/3 + (-5/6)² = -1/3 + (-5/6)²
  [ x - (5/6) ]² = 13/36
  x - 5/6 = +/- sqroot (13/36)
  x = +sqroot (13/36) + 5/6 or x = -sqroot (13/36) + 5/6
