Composition

fook thing is my eletronic dictionary went out of battery =.= alot of wrong words i guess. -
I chose the gonghan, but i tink my points were rather weak. I focused more on the situation of the flood victims, and the problems they are facing.
Only stated 2 reasons why im interested,
1) Worried for them
2) Im able and free
For compo, i picked bao zhang bao dao. Becuz for the may paper i chose a narrative and my tcher said i was out of point. So i decided to play safe this time round.
However, i did not say what problems exist between the maid and the employer. I merely focused on the reasons why problems exist, and giving suggestions to curb them.
E.g.
Reasons leading to problems -->
1) Lack of communication due to work and family constraints
2) New environment for maid, hard to fit in
3) Society views maids as mere employees
Suggestions to curb
1) Both to take initiative to talk and share
2) Maid agency could offer some self-help workshops -
The letter writing was a bit of headache. A bit lost when I was writing.
Wrote a few reasons:
- Since we have the ability to help them, we must help these "unfortunate" countries.
- Singapore is being lucky as we have no natural disaster, we should show care and concern to these countries.
- Since school holidays are coming, we are free to do these meaningful things.
New report was also a bit shocking, thought it will come out about teenagers. Cannot use PIGS to write reasons and solutions.
P - Parents

G - Government
S - School
S and P are out for the topic. So spammed with I and G.
Reasons:
- Government laws are not strict and clear enough
- Miscommunication due to language
- Employer's parents did not educate correct values when they were small I know a bit lame but also a bit reasonable right?
- Employer and maid did not solve the problems when the problems are small
Effects:
- Employer will abuse maids.
- Society problems
Solutions:
- Maid agency can arrange talks or counselling sessions after the employer has hired the maid, to improve the relation between employer and maid.
- Government can set stricter laws again employers who abuse maids, so that employers will not treat maids inhumanly.
- Relative, family members or even friends who are close to employer can help to solve problems when they are minor.
- Seek help with the maid agency when both parties are in conflict.
How many pages you all wrote for your P1? I wrote 2 pages full for Letter and 5 pages for compo.
My English isn't good so translate some words from Chinese may not be right
