  I need help with these 3 fractions working (answer I know but working dunno)

  1. 1/2 + 1/3 = ( / means over)
  2. 2whole 1/4 x 1/3 =
  3. 5/6 divide 2/3 =

  turn them to 3/6 + 2/6

   

   

  2  1/4 x 1/3

  turn them to 9/4 x 1/3 

   

   

  5/6   /   2/3

  turn them to 5/6 x 3/2

  1. Take 6 as denominator so you get 3/6 + 2/6 = 5/6

  2. 2/1/4 = 9/4

  Then 9/4 * 1/3 = 3/4 aft cancellation

  3. 5/6 div 2/3.. Convert it into mulitplication term (By inversing 2/3 into 3/2) you get

  5/6 * 3/2 = 5/4 aft cancellation...

  do more practice

  2. 2¼ × ⅓ = 9/4 × 1/3 = 3/4
  3. 5/6 ÷ 2/3 = 5/6 × 3/2 = 5/4

  Question 1

  1/2 = 3/6

  1/3 = 2/6

  so 1/2 +1/3 = 5/6

  Question 2

  2 1/4  = 9/4

  9/4 x 1/3 = 3/4

  Question 3

  5/6 divide 2/3

  equals to 5/6 x 3/2  = 5/4

  3. 5/6 divide 2/3

  5/6 divide 4/6

  5/6 x 6/4

  30/24
